Earlier this month, we marked ME/CFS Awareness Day with the community. Thank you for everything you do to help keep these diseases, and the people living with them, visible.
Today, we want to share where the science is heading next, and why this moment matters.
After more than a decade of foundational research in ME/CFS, we are beginning to see validated biological signals translate into structured clinical research. In this short video, Dr Chris Armstrong walks through the projects, partnerships, and translational pathways helping move the field toward diagnostics, treatment strategies, and precision medicine.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll take you deeper inside several of these projects, including our paediatric research through SpotME, the precision medicine platform TOTEM, and collaborative work exploring cellular metabolism in ME/CFS.
Each project is part of the same goal: turning scientific momentum into outcomes for patients.
As end of financial year approaches, we’ll also share how the community can help accelerate this next phase of research. Before that, we wanted to show you the work itself, and the people behind it.
Thank you for being part of the OMF Australia community.
Every gift fuels the next breakthrough.
